Monel 400 (W. Nr. 2.4360) has good corrosion resistance. In salty water or seawater has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, stress corrosion ability. Especially hydrofluoric acid resistance and resistance to the hydrochloric acid. Widely used in the chemical, oil, Marine industry.
Monel K-500 (W.Nr. 2.4375) combines the excellent corrosion reisistance of Monel alloy 400 with the added advantages of greater strength and hardness. Monel K-500 has approximately three times the yield strength and double the tensile strength when co***red with Alloy 400. Alloy K-500 can be further strengthened by cold working before the precipitation hardening. |
